Announcing Mirza Yawar Baig's new book

' Hiring Winners',
The Key to Creating a Winning Culture.

"Why this book?

In my practice of helping business leaders develop a winning culture, the thing that I have been most keenly aware of, is the need to hire winners.

It is true that good training can achieve much. But it is equally true that no matter how good the training course or the trainer there are some things which can’t be ‘trained in’. Losers will never become winners because of training. The qualities, characteristics, behaviors, values and beliefs that make a winner must necessarily be hired. Effective interviewing is the best and perhaps the only way to ensure that this happens. Skills can then be taught by focused training.

What are these qualities? What is the best way to identify and ensure that the person I am hiring has them? Are there any tools to help me in achieving this goal?

That is what this book is all about.

I hope you enjoy reading this book and would encourage you to practice what you read. Knowledge is only as good as its practice. I have deliberately kept the writing simple to read and oriented towards practice. This is intended to be more a manual for practicing Managers, rather than a book of theory for students."
